A CELEBRATION OF CURIOSITY AND INNOVATION

Shri T.P. Bhatia Junior College of Science, an esteemed institution of the Kandivali Education Society celebrating 90 glorious years of excellence in education, proudly hosted the 16th successful edition of "Vigyasa - Vigyaan ki Jigyasa" the science festival with the National Inter-School Science Quiz competition as its most exciting feature. The fest, conducted on 20th and 21st November 2025, brought together young scientific minds from across the country, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Vijayawada, Aurangabad and Palghar, to celebrate curiosity and innovation. Over two days, students showcased their passion for science through competitions, workshops, demonstrations.
The first day featured a AIOT Based Science Exhibition Competition organized by Shri T.P. Bhatia in association with GROK Learning, based on the theme 'Climate Sustainability and Environment'. Twenty teams from Grades 7 to 10 presented a variety of AI and IoT based models, featuring both working and non-working models. The projects focused on real-life problems such as waste segregation, COâ‚‚ detection, coal mine safety, water purification, and precision farming. All these highlighted the participants' resourcefulness and strong scientific understanding.
The Chief Guests that honoured the event were Mr. Amit Tiwari, founder of Convello Conveyors and Dr. Karthik Nagarajan, Innovator Ambassador from ISRO. Both the guests highly praised the students for their research, ideas and analytical approach.
The day concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognising the dedication and excellence of all participants.

🌟 Dr.S.D.Vartak Vidyalaya, Boisar.Both the days featured DIY activities in science and vocational labs, including Electronics, Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance and Computer Science, turning complex concepts into practical solutions allowing students to experiment and understand the real-world applications of science. Participants gained valuable hands-on experience, enhancing their skills and problem-solving abilities. The visiting students were very excited and said, "We enjoyed every lab visit and the novel experiments".
Day Two marked the launch of the college magazine, Vigyasa-Vidya Paraman Balam, by the honourable trustees, President Shri Mahesh Shah and Vice President Shri Maheshbhai Chandrana. Their presence was truly inspiring. In his address, Shri Mahesh Shah highlighted the importance of asking the right questions -- firmly stating, "No questions ,no progress' and defined scientist as the one who keeps posing questions. Principal Dr.Sangeeta Srivastava welcomed all the teams and wholeheartedly thanked the schools, principals, teachers, and the students, with special appreciation for the outstation participants. A short film by Sameer Khasnis, featured for promoting UNESCO recognition for 12 forts, was screened.
An overwhelming 54 teams from across India participated in the fest. The Vigyasa Quiz was conducted by the renowned Quiz Master Gaston D'Souza, engaging students in a stimulating and thought-provoking session.

Our sincere gratitude also to our Master Trainers Kishor M.P. and Karan Sir for their invaluable guidance.
The event concluded successfully with the message that every participant is a winner, as participation and learning matter most and leaving them excited for the next edition as this year's experience was highly enriching and enlightening..
