Inclusive education is the best way to give all children a fair chance to go to school, learn and develop the skills they need for holistic growth. It means learning opportunities for those who have been excluded generally– not only children with disabilities, but also those with other diversities like socio-economic, religious, caste and creed, regional, languages, colour, appearances, food etc.
Inclusive Education systems value the unique contributions students of all backgrounds bring to the classroom and allow diverse groups to grow side by side, to the benefit of all.
KES’ SVPV Vidyalaya and Sri TP Bhatia College of science celebrates a wide range of diversity in classrooms and honours its specially challenged students for doing so well with their lives.
Bhavya is visually challenged but he has overcome his handicap with his sheer hard work and awareness. He was the first student for whom the Maharashtra Higher Secondary Board of Examinations allowed a computer software in the exams.
He proves the saying true, “God helps those who help themselves”.
