Computer Science Overview
One of the four Vocational Subject
-
Computer Science
The subject focuses deep on developing programming skills of students. It has very close proximity to Mathematics and its applications. A better understanding of Mathematics helps a lot in mastering Computer Science. Passionate students with good grip of this curriculum surely have upper edge in engineering courses in all branches.

Some Basic Information
Educational Field Trips and Presentations
We encourage students to visit various Technical firms where students learn about latest technology currently capturing the market. To get out of box thinking because Computer Science is all about out of box thinking.
Reporting on Individual Achievement
Textbook knowledge is not enough when it comes to technical subject. The Computer Science subject is very dynamic and we encourage students to stay up to date by giving them small assignments and tracking their progress of learning.
Practical and Programming Classes
We conduct regular programming practical where students get their own Computer System to test their Programming skills.
Scientific Investigation Opportunities
Principal areas of study within Computer Science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing. Although 2 years of junior college is not enough to teach all these topics but we will have good idea about these topics in our Computer Science 2 years course.
How are 200 marks distributed ?
Computer Science subject are divided into 2 papers : Paper I and Paper II. Each paper includes theory 50 marks and practical 50 marks. Total 100 marks theory and 100 marks practical.
How are 400 seats distributed ?
The 400 seats are divided into following three categories :
-
As soon as I completed my 10th boards I decided to opt for a bifocal subject and it could be none other than COMPUTER SCIENCE. I was always interested in coding and I actually learnt html in my 10th summer vacations itself. After I entered the college I found out that it was a very interesting choice and I would definitely like to do further course in this subject for sure!
It’s what they say – if it’s easy, it’s not worth it. Studying Computer Science was not the easiest thing in my life, but definitely one of the best. It taught me to learn and to think differently. You will meet some of the smartest people – and you will be one of them. Every professor in the department cheers for you, even if they don’t show it.
